Set in the beautiful Pilot Bay on the edge of the Tauranga harbour, Hare Interiors wanted to bring aspects of the clients previous home in Hinuera to its new urban context. A strong mid-century take is felt throughout the furniture and details which create a sense of comfort while still maintaining a feeling of glamour. Brass chain curtains divide the living and dining and further features allow for moments for view and privacy.  With the combination of layers of Hinuera stone, rich textures, timbers and lighting work in contrast to soft wools, cashmere, velvet and linens to establish feelings of masculinity and luxury.
